Why does GodsList concentrate on one sentence, one paragraph, one verse?
Like most people we have all been to church and sat through the Sunday service where the bible was picked apart to say what ever was on the pastors mind that week. I mean if the pastor believes this is the word of God he is reading then don’t he think God knew what he was talking about?
I for one have always had an issue with cherry picking the bible to make it say what one would like it to say for their weekly agenda. I mean after all we are talking about the word of God, the same God that knows all, hears all, sees all. Did our God really have a book written in his words that he would later need pastors to cherry pick? Did God intend for the bible to be interpreted by picking a word from John, a Sentence from Psalms, a paragraph from 1 Chronicles and entire verse from Proverbs and smashing them all together to make an agenda?
We all know there is fear, doubt, war, famine, anger, blood & death in the Bible but there is also love, peace, compassion, happiness, companionship, friendship and so much more. We hope to continue sharing these messages through this new website to encourage everyone in all walks of life to show compassion to one another, lift one another when needed and to care about not only your family and friends but the family and friends of your neighbors, coworkers, and anyone that you may cross paths with today, tomorrow or next year.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 New International Version (NIV)
11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
